Das KI-Observatorium ist ein Projekt des Think Tanks "Denkfabrik Digitale Arbeitsgesellschaft" im Bundesministerium für Arbeit und Soziales. Das interdisziplinär arbeitende, achtköpfige Observatoriums-Team verfügt für die Laufzeit bis 2022 über ein Gesamtbudget von 20 Mio. EUR. BMAS wants to ensure that the further development of AI applications is based on a broad social discussion process and is thus focused mainly on people and the common good. This is a key prerequisite for the successful spread of AI and enabling innovation potential to flourish (“investing at least as much in people as in technology”). KI-Observatorium (AI Observatory) The German AI Observatory was launched on 3 March 2020 in Berlin. The AI Observatory builds on the Federal Government’s AI strategy and it is located within the Policy Lab Digital, Work and Society - an agile think tank of the German Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (BMAS).
